What is Menopause?

TO UNDERSTAND WHAT MENOPAUSE IS IN SIMPLE TERMS.

The symptoms are not simply due to a drop in hormone levels but to an imbalance that occurs between two prime hormones, progesterone and estrogen. These hormones have a symbiotic relationship and in a healthy woman they remain in equilibrium.

While estrogen is often understood to be the primary female hormone, and progesterone is a precursor to estrogen production and is the dominant hormone in the second, luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. With the appearance of menopause, estrogen levels gradually started to decline but progesterone production falls more rapidly until it stops completely, which is then called post-menopause. This means then that estrogen is increasingly unopposed in the body, which can lead to a condition known as Estrogen dominance.

The effects of estrogen dominance are consistent with symptoms experienced by women at all stages of menopause.Chemical pollutants have increased the instance of estrogen dominance significantly and these xeno-estrogens come from plastics, fertilisers and other man made sources. Though not identical to the body’s own estrogen, are processed by the body in similar ways.

I Had to Find a Solution to Cope with This Reality

I knew that I have menopause when the hot flashes started to appear, my periods became irregular and I battled to keep my weight down, so my search for natural solutions started. I did some intensive studies about herbal substitutes for HRT and after much thought, started off the

shelf.

A month later I came to the conclusion that the hot flashes were less intense but not completely gone. The good thing is that it has benefit my nails, hair and skin and my energy levels picked up again. However, I've decided that it is time to see a Gynaecologist, then he will subscribe something that will make all my problems disappear. But he told me there is nothing wrong with my hormone levels, so my only option was to go back to my herbal remedies.

Another year later and a few extra unwanted kilos, I went to see a female doctor, thinking that a woman will definitely have a better understanding. She told me that HRT treatment has too many side effects and that I just have to deal with this situation until my hormone levels are back to normal. The fact that it can take up to 10 years was not very inspiring to me so I've started to do some more research on the internet. Surely there must be something worth while.

Eventually I opened the website for Wellsprings Serenity and it explains that it is a natural, bioidentical progesterone cream for the relief of menopause symptoms and other conditions related to hormone imbalance. It is stored in fat and releases the progesterone throughout the day as the body needs it. I was convinced and decided to give it a try. It's not expensive and as it is a natural remedy, there is no risks of harmful side effects.

It took more or less 3 weeks before I started to experienced the benefits and I really like the ointment as I was by now sick and tired of swallowing pills everyday. This product is really extremely effective and all traces of my hot flashes disappeared and I felt human again.

Of course it is also very important do do some form of exercises, as the muscles tend to become stiff and sore. Weight gain is also a typical and very annoying reality. I don't like jogging and am not exactly a gym fanatic, but find that brisk walking for 30 minutes or more together with a bit of stretch exercises really help.
